Dilip Lunawat says his daughter, Dr Snehal Lunawat, took the jab after being told COVID vaccines did not pose any risk

A father of a deceased medical student has filed a petition in Bombay High Court seeking compensation of Rs 1,000 crore for the death of his daughter as a result of the adverse effects of the COVID vaccine.

The court has sought report from the Government of India, Serum Institute of India (SII), Microsoft founder Bill Gates and All India Institute of Medical Science Director

Dilip Lunawat, the petitioner, says his daughter Dr Snehal Lunawat, took the jab after she was told that the COVID vaccines carry no risk.

Lunawat alleges false narratives created by the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) and the Director of the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) about the vaccines forced health workers including his daughter to get jabbed.

Dr Snehal received the vaccine on January 28, 2021. She died five days later on March 1, 2021.

The petition claims the Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI) committee on October 2, 2021, admitted that the death of the petitioner’s daughter was due to side effects of the Covishield vaccine.

Dr Sneha was a doctor at SMBT Dental College and Hospital at Dhamangaon in Nashik

The petition refers to the news reports where DCGI claims the safety of the vaccine.

The agencies, the petition alleges, misrepresented facts about the COVID-19 vaccine and made false claims about its safety and forced doctors to take the vaccine.

“This petition is being filed to give justice to my daughter and in order to save the life of many more people who are likely to be murdered due to such unlawful activities of respondent authorities,” the petition reads.
